What you'll do: 

The Software Engineer Lead will be responsible for owning the entire engineering function and leading the rebuild of the CRM ecosystem. This is a hands-on leadership position - someone who can architect, guide, mentor, and code when needed.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Engineering Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop our engineering team, lifting capability and encouraging best practice.
  • Provide architectural direction and technical oversight across all systems.
  • Drive code quality, documentation, and engineering standards.
  • Own the long-term technology roadmap for the CRM rebuild and related platforms.
• Hands-On Technical Execution
  • Contribute actively to coding, reviewing, troubleshooting, and solution design.
  • Guide the implementation of complex modules and integrations.
  • Ensure efficient CI/CD processes, testing and deployment frameworks.
• Project Oversight & Delivery
  • Plan, scope and manage the CRM rebuild (module by module).
  • Prioritise tasks, manage sprints and support delivery timelines.
  • Oversee integration of multiple systems—the CRM, BP Portal and Client Microsite.
• Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Partner with internal teams to understand workflows and system requirements.
  • Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Communicate progress, risks and recommendations clearly to leadership.
• Systems Strategy & Innovation
  • Bring fresh ideas and challenge the status quo—this rebuild is a blank canvas.
  • Drive continuous improvement and modernisation of Blue Wealths digital.
  • Ensure security, data integrity, and compliance across all systems.

Successful candidates should have:

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams, ideally within a small to mid-sized tech environment
• Strong background in architecting and delivering bespoke, workflow-heavy, data-rich systems (e.g. CRM platforms)
• High proficiency in modern PHP frameworks, particularly Laravel, along with strong JavaScript and React experience
• Solid experience with AWS, MySQL, containerisation tools (e.g. Docker), and modern development workflows
• Demonstrated experience managing legacy systems and executing system migrations or rebuilds
• Deep understanding of system integrations, API design, and performance optimisation
• Strong grasp of Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and delivery management
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• A hands-on, solutions-focused leader who thrives in ownership, autonomy, and building platforms from the ground up

Work Arrangements:

• Schedule: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Philippine Time)
• Work Setup: On-site work arrangement.
• Location: Parkway Corporate Center, Alabang, Muntinlupa City
